Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels has been frozen five games for deliberately tossing at Washington rookie Bryce Harper.

Mlb introduced the penalty Monday. Hamels also was penalized.

Hamels plunked Harper within the small from the back having a fastball within the first inning Sunday evening. The Phillies won 9-3 and Hamels accepted he deliberately put at Harper.
