Three days right into a months are way too soon to evaluate offseason trades. Or perhaps is it? Baseball's marquee deals curently have compensated off handsomely for many teams - and inflated for other people. USA TODAY Sports' Jorge L. Ortiz compares the those who win and nonwinners, and also the deals that, yes, assisted both clubs:

The trade: New You are able to Yankees trade C Jesus Montero and RHP Hector Noesi towards the Dallas Ocean adventurers for RHP Michael Pineda and minor league RHP Jose Campos

How's that exercising? Montero is beginning to warm up, a 7-for-22 stretch raising his batting average to .265. Noesi had one excellent start but was shelled in the other two. Still, the Ocean adventurers are large those who win within the deal. Pineda will not throw a pitch for that Yankees this year due to a lately discovered shoulder injuries that will need surgery.

Moving forward: Yankees GM John Cashman hesitated to create this trade due to Montero's striking potential. Now it might backfire when the injuries compromises Pineda's future.
