A 911 call from the house of Junior Seau launched Friday captures the voice of the lady who's horrified to obtain the former National football league linebacker inside a spare bed room having a gunshot wound towards the chest.
"My God, my boyfriend shot themself! My dear God!" the eight-minute call starts.
The lady, who identifies herself as Megan, stated she was coming back towards the home Wednesday morning from the one-hour visit to a health club.
Oceanside police launched it one next day of the North Park County medical examiner's office ruled the dying a suicide. The household intends to donate Seau's brain for research into football-related injuries.
The caller is almost hysterical and breathing heavily throughout a lot of the phone call as emergency employees guide her through existence-saving measures that unsuccessful.
"Where's the gun?" the dispatcher asks.
"It's alongside him within the mattress," she solutions.
"What's your boyfriend's title?"
"Junior Seau," she states.
The dispatcher asks where he was shot.
"I can not tell, ma'am. It appears as with one's heart,Inch she stated.
She told the dispatcher he was without a pulse which his chest wasn't moving.
"I simply came home in the gym, and he's within our spare bed room, and that he shot themself, also it appears like he shot themself within the chest," she states following the dispatcher moved the phone call towards the fire department.
Nearly 5 minutes in to the call, she would go to the doorway to permit save employees in. She describes again what went down after which starts to sob.
The girl surname is unintelligible around the recording. Lt. Leonard Mata, a spokesperson for Oceanside police, stated police aren't delivering the girl title.
